About Etna
Etna High School is a small but mighty school located in the quaint town of Etna, California. The school boasts a strong athletic program with opportunities for both girls and boys to participate in a variety of sports. For the boys, Etna High School offers football, basketball, baseball, and track and field. The football program has a long-standing rivalry with fellow Siskiyou County school, Yreka High School. The basketball program has also earned a strong reputation, making it to the state championship game in 2018. The girls' athletic program at Etna High School includes volleyball, basketball, softball, and track and field. The girls' basketball team has shown great success in recent years, winning the SCL championship in 2019. Etna High School is a member of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), the governing body for high school athletics in California. The school participates in the Northern Section of the CIF, which includes schools from eight counties in Northern California. Overall, Etna High School provides a strong athletic program that instills teamwork, perseverance, and a sense of community in its students.
